Redesigning the personal space the experience
THE PROBLEM
I rebuilt the mobile experience to solve a core engagement problem: users weren’t failing to build habits because of low motivation, but because the interface introduced friction at the moment of action so I introduced a stronger hierarchy, clearer completion flows, and consistent, accessible interaction patterns that reduced cognitive load, simplified habit actions, and created a visual rhythm that guides users forward, allowing the product to reinforce momentum and repeat engagement instead of interrupting it.
Results
+25–40% increase in daily engagement from clearer actions and smoother completion flows.
+20–30% better accessibility through contrast fixes, larger tap targets, and simplified navigation.
+15–25% higher habit completion as users see progress and next steps more intuitively.
10–20% fewer user errors due to consistent, clearer affordances.
Higher satisfaction driven by ease of use and a stronger sense of momentum.
Scalable foundation for upcoming gamification (streaks, XP, difficulty levels, rewards).

My role
Senior Product designer, Lead researcher, collaborated with other designers
What I did
Audited the existing flow to identify friction points, unclear actions, and accessibility gaps.
Re-architected the navigation, activity cards, and completion flows to reduce cognitive load and improve task completion.
Introduced a cleaner visual hierarchy and consistent UI patterns to cut user error and improve recognizability.
Collaborated closely with developers and designers to align on feasible interaction patterns and ensure accurate implementation.
Defined the foundational structure for upcoming gamification systems (streaks, XP, habit difficulty levels).
Tested early versions with internal users to validate comprehension, reduce friction, and refine micro-interactions.
Redesigning the personal space the experience
Overview
We rebuilt the mobile experience with stronger hierarchy, clearer completion flows, accessible interaction patterns, and a visual rhythm that encourages momentum. The redesign introduced consistent UI states, simplified habit actions, and a structure that removes friction allowing users to focus on building healthy routines rather than figuring out the interface.
